Wedding crashers aren’t something you just see in the movies. Many wonder if there are really wedding crashers out there and folks, sadly to say yes there is. When the movie “Wedding Crashers” released it actually became even more popular to do and seemed to become a major issue at a lot of weddings throughout the world. On the list of things to do during your wedding, looking for “crashers” isn’t really one of them you would think. So how do you know if you have wedding crashers at your wedding?
How can you possibly suspect is someone at your wedding isn’t supposed to be there? Try observing a couple of things such as when it comes to them mingling with other guests they are a little more cautious. Usually you know who most people are at your wedding, and are introduced to most of your guests partners or dates that you may not know. If you notice that there are people avoiding you, they could be likely wedding crashers.
To establish a guests “place” at your wedding if you seem unsure can be done subtly. Other than your ceremony, the entire wedding is centered around socializing. it wouldn’t be unheard of for the bride or groom to approach some guests fo a chat. When approaching a guest that you can’t quite place, ask probing questions such as ,” I am not sure we’ve been introduced yet, your with?” and see what your answer is from there. If the answer is not to your liking, advise the attendant from the venue.
In looking at the situation that may present itself, you have to be aware of what your looking at. Yes they are not invited to your wedding and shouldn’t stay, but it can cause more issues when you are attempting to get them out. This is why it is advised to have some sort of security setup on your wedding day. This could diminish any unwanted complications with guests that are distraught or causing any issues.
While the mere idea of “wedding crashing” may seem extremely tacky to most, the select few find it exhilarating to do. It may not be the worst offence that can be committed, but can be very stressful for the couple getting married. A wedding takes months of planning, dedication and the coming together of a couples special dream. It seems generally rude for a virtual stranger to want to intrude on that, yet it does happen.
No one likes any event being crashed, especially weddings. When you are planning your wedding day make sure that you take the time to plan all necessary security measures, whether it is a family member or you hire a licensed security company. If it gives you a stronger peice of mind, review the procdure of such an event with your venues staff. The key to your wedding day is you being happy and the guests surrounding you. Don’t let a wedding crasher crash your day. Be in control from beginning to end.
If all else fails and you end up with pictures of a stranger in your wedding album, at least you’ll have a story to tell.
