Pay attention to the information available where your shopping online. If the site  doesn’t look professional, be cautious.
  • Don’t click right away. Before ordering, check the company’s return policy. Always keep a record of the name, address and phone number of the company, goods you ordered, date of your purchase, amount you paid (including shipping and handling), and method of payment.
  • Pay close attention to what your being asked for. Never give out your credit card number or personal, financial or employment information unless you know with whom you are dealing.

When you enter personal information on a public computer, you’re putting yourself at risk for identity theft. Hackers can easily break into unsecured networks and steal information. In addition, many computers save personal information entered into a form as a convenience. This might be convenient at home on your personal computer, but it’s a big risk on a public computer. If you have the urge to splurge, wait until you get home to do it. Online shopping can be a fun way to get the things you want, either for special occasion or “just because”. It is definitely something to keep doing as long as you know your limit and where to spend it.

The holidays are here and so is the Christmas rush. The mall crowds, the parking lot maze and the endless wandering. Are these the memories that spring to mind when someone mentions the holidays? This could very well be an accurate depiction of what most peoples holiday experiences sums up to. One might ask, in today’s society is this frustration we associate with holiday shopping necessary anymore? Online shopping has become such an everyday occurrence for most people that it widely used for most occasions, so should Christmas be any different?

There may be a couple schools of thought on this issue. The first being the spirit of the Christmas  find. Many people enjoy the hunt for the perfect Christmas gift. There is quest that for some is the most enjoyable part of the Christmas gift exchange. The Christmas music, the atmosphere and decorations help fulfill the shopping experience that truly surrounds the holiday season. The smells and sounds of this experience trigger memories that for some people can’t be replaced.

Although you can’t finger the fabric or try on the item, the payoff in convenience and an almost unlimited selection may make you a convert once you master the basics of buying clothes online. If you new to the online clothes market it won’t take you long to master it, you may become hooked! Take these few simple ” how to” tips to make your online shopping a success.

  1. Ask a friend, a tailor or a clothing store salesperson to help you measure your chest, waist, hips, arm length and inseam. It may seem like an awkward experience but knowing these measurements will  make your shopping experience allot easier.Another way to get your inseam is to measure a pair of pants that fit perfectly  if your uncomfortable asking a tailor.
  2. Have a plan. Check your closet and make a mental note of what you could use (e.g., a black turtleneck to go with menswear pants you own, etc.). Knowing what you need will cut down on needless spending.
