A Healthy Plan to Lose 40 Pounds

Losing 40 lbs. requires a commitment to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Although fad diets and supplement manufacturers promise you fast results, these diets usually cause frustration and weight regain in the long run. Mapping out your plan for weight loss  needs to be organized for you to be committed to your new endevour. Weight loss is all about creating healthy habits. To be successful at losing weight, you need to change your lifestyle and your eating habits. Adopting healthy eating habits together with regular cardio exercise is the best way to lose weight effectively and keep the weight off.

Cardio exercise will also increase the amount of calories your body uses during and immediately after exercise. Choose some kind of mild cardio exercise that you can manange for  six days a week. Brisk walking is a good way to start. It is easy to do and can be done anywhere. This is extremely helpful for the convience of exercise. Walking for weight loss is very effective when done properly and it is sustainable long term. ‘Brisk’ means walking at a fast pace inorder to keep your heart rate up. Slowly work up to that pace and then slowly increase your distance. If you want to use that form of mild cardio to lose body fat, you will need to average walking from 3 to 6 miles daily at that pace.

Examine your diet and make responsible changes. No matter how comprehensive your exercise plan is, you will not meet your weight-loss goals if you do not address your diet. Stop eating fast foods and fried foods. Don’t give into temptation and eat junk foods that can be purchased at convenience stores. Plan your meals ahead buy grocery shopping each week to make sure your regfridgerator is always full. Relying on restaurants and frozen dinners, even if you try to make good choices, undermines your ability to lose weight.

Along with portion size, calorie appropriate sized snacks will help you eat often adn eat well. Making sure you stay on track will consists of planning  ahead and making sure your alwasy preapred with the right choices.

The Medifast Plan – How Safe is the Medifast Diet?

Many people lose weight very quickly on Medifast, which has led to many asking one question quite a bit…

How safe is Medifast?

Let me just say upfront that Medifast is quite safe, as long as you are following the rules and don’t have any health issues that would be contraindicated for Medifast use. If you are generally in good health and not pregnant, then dieting with Medifast should be just fine. Medifast has been around since 1980 and it is designed by doctors and nutritionists. It’s also been a part of a number of clinical studies, particularly at John Hopkins. Studies referenced here were conducted by researchers from John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In fact, for years, the only place you could actually get Medifast was at your doctor’s office. Now you can order it yourself, but it is always a good idea to discuss any diet plans with your doctor before you proceed.

Don’t Skip Meals

Medifast is carefully designed to be followed as outlined in their planning material. This calls for five Medifast meals each day and 1 Lean & green meal, which is a meal that you put together yourself from fresh vegetables and a good protein source such as poultry, fish or beef. There are meatless options to choose from as well. Since Medifast is very low calorie (about 1,000 per day), it is important that you do not skip any meals. It’s quite okay to combine two Medifast meals together if you had to skip a meal, but you want to make sure you get all of those meals eaten so that you get enough calories and the right quantities of nutrients.

It is also important to eat your lean & green meal, as that’s the one meal per day in which you are getting fresh food, and lots of fiber to keep you regular. The protein at that meal is very important too. When dieting, it is always important to consume enough protein, otherwise your body may resort to using muscle tissue rather than fat for its energy source. So don’t skip meals!

When not to Use Medifast

Now for the bad news. If you have Type 1 diabetes or are currently pregnant, you should not use the Medifast plan. There are also some contraindications for some other health issues as well — such as liver or kidney disease; clotting disorders; a recent stroke or heart attack; cancer; steroid use; and, lithium use. If you have any issues like these, you should definitely talk to your doctor before embarking on any weight loss plan. And if you were thinking about Medifast in particular, it’s important for your doctor to get to know the program so he or she can decide whether it is appropriate for you.

Other than some serious health conditions though, most dieters do quite well on Medifast and have a lot of weight loss success pretty quickly, while also avoiding being hungry all the time. And if you have any health concerns, Medifast has tons of information available to help both you and your doctor figure things out. They even have lists of common allergens that show which of their foods contain them, so if there’s a problem food that you need to watch out for, Medifast can help you avoid taking any chances.

Best Diet Plan

Opinions are everywhere, on everything. Diet plans are no different. Everyone has an opinion on what diet is the BEST diet. Some will base this opinion on what has worked for them, others will base it on reputation. This is a subjective topic since every one’s body reacts differently. There are many opinions on health care and what is good for you body and what is not. Some subscribe to the thinking that dairy is not good for body, it could be that red meat is not healthy. Different people , different opinions. So what’s right and whats wrong?

Methods for Best Diet Plans

One method that seems to transcend all schools of thought is diet and exercise.  This method doesn’t require any special products, involves no crash dieting and can be done anywhere. It is a lifestyle . There are other diet plans available that may be advertised as the best, but do we ever really know what can be considered the best?  Diet and exercise has been proven to reduce weight and increase energy, metabolism and even attitude. Feeling energized and refreshed is a side effect that keeps you motivated.  Making healthier choices in the grocery store can start your journey.  The best practised is to be organized.

Decide to plan for week and shop accordingly. This doesn’t mean you can’t take a friend up on a spontaneous dinner invitation, you just need to know your portion control and healthy food choices. When setting out on your plan, try to incorporate your daily routine into it .If your not a breakfast eater for instance, purchase some yogurt and bananas to make smoothies for your on the go lifestyle. This is a sure fire way to ensure your commitment to the diet plan.

What Is Included with Best Diet Plans?

The best diet plan includes all the food groups. When planning your strategy for meals, be sure to include all your fruits and vegetables along with your carbohydrates and protein. Every one’s tastes are different, some may not enjoy certain foods. That’s OK. Try to give yourself variety of tastes and ideas. Plenty of cook books and online website give several  food ideas  which will give you serving size suggestions and calorie intake.  This can give you variety in your cooking and several snacking ideas. Eating well and eating often is the key to  a successful meal plan. this is a lifestyle change and can be adapted to easily.  Make it as convenient as suits your lifestyle. A great idea after grocery shopping is divide almonds  into snack size baggies to keep in your drawer at work, in your bag or anywhere else you may feel like snacking. A healthy snack on hand will keep you full  which will deter the need to over eat.

Never underestimate the power of exercise. Even thirty minutes of walking a couple of times a week can aide in the best diet plan, especially is it’s more than your used to.  If you already feel that walking isn’t enough, go ahead an add some cardio to your exercise routine. The key here is to commit to a routine. Use whatever motivation necessary to stick to your routine. The new lifestyle can still make sure you maintain your healthy living while still being able to be spontaneous.

Wedding Budget Tips

Having limited funds is causing many people to consider postponing their wedding. Don’t put it off yet!  There are ways to save money and still have your dream wedding. You can actually have a wonderful dress, wedding reception and honeymoon for much less than you may realize. Here are wedding budget tips for how to plan a wedding on a budget even when it is a low budget.

Finding the Right Dress

If you don’t have the means to be on the cutting edge of style yet you can appreciate the beauty of dresses that may be last season’s or earlier design, you can save substantially by buying off of the sales or clearance racks.  There are bridal stores  that during the year have major discounts or sales that future brides line up or even camp out for. If you take advantage of one of these, try to get in there before in order try things on so you know some of the dresses you may like. Don’t forget about the Internet. There are a number of mass merchandisers and resources online, the Internet has a wealth of wedding sites.

Selecting the Right Wedding Venue

If you plan to have your wedding in a Church, most require a small donation for the use of the Church and the services of the minister. You may also be able to have your reception there if you aren’t planning to have loud music or serve alcohol. This is potentially a huge savings, especially if you have friends or family members that cater. Other money saving venues are parks or homes of friends or family. Both of these are great venues for having ceremonies and/or receptions in warm weather. Reserving a pavilion in a park for renting or doing it yourself decorations can make for a really beautiful event. Plus, if it is a more natural park with fantastic natural views, this will contribute even more to the beauty of the event as well as make it more memorable for you and your guests. Having a wedding and/or reception at home or at a relatives home has sentimental value. Here again you can rent or purchase decorations from a craft store and do it yourself. At night, candlelight is so romantic wherever you have it. Whether in the park or at home, you can have a memorable event and save a substantial amount.

Budgetting Your Floral Requirements

To save on flowers, my first suggestion is for those having their wedding in a large Church. Many large churches have florists that they work with. You may be able to save by using the church florist. You may receive a discount for being a member of the church. This florist may allow the use of greenery for no or  very low charge. The florist may sell you candles and flowers at a discount that they can use in that Sunday’s service. My other suggestions are to not underestimate the beauty of greenery, candles and ribbons. If you use more inexpensive items like these, you may be able to get by with fewer more costly flowers. Also see if your florist will give a discount if you or a family member or friend offers some free labor.

Saving on Your Honeymoon

The Honeymoon is a substantial part of the wedding budget and the one that you will probably get the most enjoyment out of. Some people spend a lot on the wedding and dress and put what is leftover into the honeymoon or skip it all together. My first idea of how to save here is to take advantage of those discount timeshare vacations. Yes I know it may mean enduring a major sales pitch for possibly half to full day while you are there, but to get a week in Hawaii or other wonderful destination for well below what it would cost otherwise it can be worth it. Besides, you may be able to book somewhere that will throw in a wedding ceremony for free or very little at a neighbor resort. Your friends and family paying to come and stay at a different hotel or resort from you could be their contribution to helping make your special day a reality. I have to warn you though, if you are a personality type that has your whole day ruined by a pushy telemarketers call, you might want to give this idea a miss. Do some research and find a beautiful destination or spa within driving distance.

Many people don’t know about wonderful and interesting destinations within driving distance of their homes until company comes and needs some sightseeing. Put in the research and you may have a wonderful honeymoon for the cost of a few nights stay. Last minute travel is another option. Who says you need to have everything completely planned out? You could set a budget and have some flexibility in your travel dates and add an element of surprise to your honeymoon. Many have friends that have told them about great trips they have taken and booked at the last minute. It’s true that you don’t know where you will be going but, if you make up your mind that you will enjoy wherever you go, you likely will. This option lends itself to the more spontaneous. If it will cause you a great deal of stress not knowing your destination in advance, this option is probably not for you. Wedding planning and the wedding day itself can be stressful enough.

There you have it – ideas and tips for saving money on your wedding dress, wedding reception and honeymoon. Hopefully following these tips will allow you to save money. No need to delay your wedding day,do it on a budget while still enjoying  it to the fullest.

3 Weight Loss Tips to Avoid

Everyone wants to loose weight. The problem is every one wants to see immediate results which isn’t realistic. Loosing weight takes time and effort, yet there  is always someone looking for a quick weight loss diet plan. People’s increasingly hectic schedules makes it difficult to find a diet to maintain our hectic lives which tends to lead to crash dieting and other unhealthy solutions in order to get “the job done”. When researching how to lose weight fast don’t believe everything you read. So much information is now available everywhere it can be hard to determine what is sound advice and what is not. There are few myths you will read that do not promote weight loss, and in fact are some of the unhealthiest you will read.

If you read some weight loss tips out there, make sure what your ready makes sense to you. If you are unsure check with a health care professional. Tips like the following are some examples of what you should  avoid:

1. Skipping meals or Starving:

This immediately should cause a “red flag” when your reading it. Common sense tells you that starving yourself isn’t healthy. If you still think, it might not be healthy but it will cause me to loose weight, here’s where your wrong. Not only will not help you loose weight it can become a deadly decision.  Skipping meals will send your body into something known as “starvation mode” where it will store more fat and slow your metabolism down in an effort to conserve energy. Essentially once your body stops receiving regular “fuel” it will begin to draw on any stored fats your body has. Your body is designed to kick into” survival mode” when it’s needed , not as a regular state.

2. Avoid exercise: A diet that promotes weight loss without any type of exercise should be of a concern. Toning muscles and building strength is part of any good weight loss program. Being active promotes calorie burn which aides in weight loss. Living a healthy active lifestyle is the key to loosing and maintaining any weight loss.

3. Diet pills: There are people who can benefit from diet pills, although generally these are extreme cases. Morbidly obese people sometimes lack the physical strength to start an exercise routine immediately. The help of diet plans to kick start the weight loss is useful but not a long term solution. Generally once a target goal weight has been lost, there should be no need for the diet pills, and a healthy exercise routine should be established to continue the weight loss journey.

A Healthy Weight Loss Diet is vital to your success for guidance and for motivation. Choosing the right diet is the most important aspect in your weight loss plan since you will be more likely to follow something that you both understand and agree with. If your goal is long-term sustainable weight loss you want to keep away from the fad diets that promise to make you lose 50 pounds in 30 days, not only is not not healthy this weight will be regained. Instead find a diet that teaches healthy eating patterns that lead to long-term loss and provide the tools to keep you going . Diets like NutriSystem,Weight Watchers, or Medifast are all healthy diet choices.

The Medifast Diet Plan – Do You Have the Courage to Stay Fit?

It was when Jason Pharmaceuticals first developed the Medifast diet plan that the hype about weight loss began again. It was viral! The diet is particularly developed for those who want to put off the unhealthy bulk using the 5 and 1 diet plan. It was indicated in medifast1. com that this plan will surely help those who want to lose weight faster and safer.

Medifast assures their consumers that they don’t have to think about measuring their calories and carbohydrates consumption because this meal plan is already pre-measured and pre-packed. You won’t see the conventional point system of other diet plans.

To start with the program is easy, you just have to buy the pre-packed meals and enjoy the weight loss. The 5 and 1 plan obliges the dieter to consume 5 Medifast meals and 1 Lean and Grean meal every day. Each of the 5 Medifast meals should be consumed in two to three hour-intervals. With the Medifast meals, dieters can also add some oatmeal, pudding, shakes, soup and eggs to their diet as well. You can choose from a variety of 50 meals. Great isn’t?

On the Lean and Green Meal, the Lean part is mostly consisted of 7 ounces of fish, turkey or chicken, or 5 ounces of lamb, pork or beef. The Green part on the other hand gives dieters a choice from 2 cups of green salad with additional quarter of vegetables and 1 to 2 teaspoons of low-fat salad dressing. Or they can also choose 1 and ½ cup of low carbohydrate vegetables. Because fruits are very high in carbohydrates, it is excluded in this meal plan.

A dieter that is under the Medifast diet plan consumes about 800 to 1000 calories may lose about 2 to 5 pounds each week. No fine prints. Just relax, don’t worry and Medifast will do the counting for you.

But how about supplements? Of course this is good but you may or may not take multivitamins because this diet plan also has the essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs everyday. As recommended by everyone, 6 to 8 glasses of water should be taken daily. Exercise is not prohibited but limited especially on the first start of the diet program. Then at least allow about 3 to 4 weeks before gradually taking strenuous exercise.

Medifast weight loss diet plans are for men and women, and there are also diet plans specifically designed for those who have coronary heart disease, for diabetics, and generally for Children’s Health, Women’s Health, Appetite Suppression and Joint Health. For geriatrics who is over 70 years of age, Medifast have a specific guideline for them to follow as well. As to all weight loss programs, it is best to consult first your doctor. Medifast1. com confidently assures everyone that their diet program is safe as this was reviewed by different clinical studies including one at National Institute of Health and at Johns Hopkins University.
