1. His dad, uncle, & grandfather were all in the navy and my father and grandfather were both in the army. Since he is joining the military we are talking about having a military wedding because it has been a big part of both our lives. Do you have to be an officer to have a military wedding like with the swords and such?
2. I’ve been trying to find information on the Navy uniforms on google but I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. If we have a military wedding what does the uniform look like that he will be wearing if he is an enlisted man? if he is an officer? or are they the same?
3. if you have had a military wedding… did you like it? or do you regret it?

geeze!!! Ya okay so my grandpa was in the marines, my other grandpa was in the navy, my uncle was in the navy, my finacees dad was in the army or the marines and now my fiancee is in the navy, we are getting married in July…I never even thought about having a military wedding lol! I’m trying to still convince him to wear his dress blues…or since it’ll be outside his white’s would probably be better but he won’t have it
. He just wants to wear a plain old boring tux.
I think a lot of it depends on the time of year and location as far as his uniform and I think he should choose. If it’s winter and/or indoor, maybe his blues would be better but if it’s summer and/or outdoor…wool is NOT friendly to heat so probably his whites or some other uniform that is more summer-friendly. (i’m not good with details about uniforms yet!) Sorry I couldn’t be of more help…I wish you luck!
