as long as one of you is military you can get married at a church on the base. it doesn’t matter if you are baptized or not. other wise 3/4 of the churches would be empty as not every solider is baptized but church is an escape specially during basic.
as too the sword arch, i am not familiar with the navy way, but with the marine core they get their sword at lance corporal (i believe) and i believe it is tradition for any rank officer or enlisted. you would need to question one of his NCO’s about that to be absolutely sure. I’m sure most the people in HR or any of the NCO’s can answer that for you. just be prepared.. it’s also tradition for the very last guy in the sword row to smack the bride on the ass with his sword XD
excellent luck, i’m sure his NCO’s will be more then pleased to tell him or find out
Edit: wow am i the only girl that haunts the wedding section that has really be in the military and knows about it -looks around- woot! i feel special -does a small dance-
Your base should have a non denominational church. Get with the members of that church for the Arch of Swords info. The NCO may not know…. I know my husband’s NCO knows nothing about weddings.
