Iѕ anyone tired οf thе strapless wedding dress trend аnd want something different? I’m a smaller-busted girl, аnd a strapless dress really dοеѕ small fοr mу figure. I lіkе gowns wіth straps/sleeves. I want tο feel comfortable οn mу wedding day, аnd I’ve never felt thаt strapless dresses wеrе particularly comfortable.

Whаt dο уου rесkοn? Dіd уου gο fοr a non-strapless dress?
Obscene? Hοnеѕtlу? I rесkοn аll three οf thе dresses аrе gοrgеουѕ аnd completely appropriate fοr a wedding. Whіlе I don’t lіkе extremely low сυt dresses, thеу look fаntаѕtіс wіth modesty pieces рlасе іn.
I’m a B cup ѕο nοt tіnу bυt nοt hυgе еіthеr. I rесkοn I look fаntаѕtіс іn V-сυt style tops bесаυѕе thеу give mе a small cleavage without flattening mу chest.
I agree thаt hυgе busts don’t look fаntаѕtіс іn strapless. I don’t rесkοn small dο еіthеr. Guess уου hаνе tο bе average tο look fаntаѕtіс! Haha.

i am with you i am huge busted and so frightened of spillage i like the first dress
if you have a fantastic back side go with no. two
I agree with the strapless stuff! EVERYONE is doing it!! I want to be special on my wedding day, not just blend in with all the other brides out there. Anyway I LOVE the first dress and the second, as for the third, its very nice but if you are smaller busted then you may want to stay away from very low cut dresses such as that one, you mar find that the fabric will drape from your body, or wont fill correctly.
im with you a strappless dress is so unoriginal now, i have quite large breasts (DD) so all day i would be pull it up and panicing that everytime i lent down i would be fulling and flashing all my close friends and family! they didnt come to see them! lol the 3rd dress is absolutly gorgeous, thats the kind of style im going for
i LOVE the last one!
and yeah, i dont want a strapless wedding dress either!
I’m sorry, but your choices for a non-strapless dress border on obscene for a wedding. Do you reckon you can make that neckline lower? geesh… You get no vote from me.
I don’t want one. Even though I have the ideal shoulders and neckline for one, I am very top heavy so I don’t feel all that comfortable with the thought of a strapless dress. Plus, I don’t want to look like every other bride out there since strapless seems to be the only option. I don’t wear strapless tops any other day of the year so I can’t really picture myself doing that on my wedding day either. I am certainly looking for something with sleeves, and I have seen several online but none that I’m head over heels in like with.
The Jim Hjelm dresses you posted are gorgeous and there is nothing obscene about them at all.
The first dress is the prettiest. I wanted a dress with long sleeves that came to a point, sort of Victorian. It was for a fall wedding. Just make sure you get a excellent seamstess if you try something on and it doesn’t look right. I had the shop tell me that a bridesmaid dress would fit right in the chest with alterations, if anything it was worse when they got done. The next bridesmaid dress fit close to right when I tried it on and I loved it. The less alterations the better is what I’m saying. Try on lots of dresses. Go with someone who has the time to look with you and isn’t going to lie or be pushy. I took my Mom, it was a wonderful experience.
I am not doing strapless either for my wedding! My dress is V-neck, similar to the 1st one from David’s Bridal. I like the #1 and #3. The 2nd dress is nice, but the back is a small to low for me. Plus it’s mermaid style, and my butt is not that small so I opted for an A-line instead, which is a small more flattering for my figure.
I reckon you should wear whatever you are comfortable with for your wedding. Strapless is classic, but very common these days…..I wouldn’t do sleeves either, so I reckon your choice of V-neck strap is brilliant. And plus you don’t have to worry about your dress falling down during the entire wedding, which is always a plus.
I have the opposite problem. I am very large-busted and I detested the thought of wearing a strapless dress that would (1) make me look like I was spilling out, (2) fall down and reveal a boob, or (3) cut straight across and not do anything to accentuate my curves.
I went with a low-cut halter gown that makes me look extra-curvy and is very comfortable.
In your case, I reckon that the first one you posted looks like a fantastic option for a smaller-busted girl. It has a lot of detailing and trim that will look fantastic.
i don’t want to wear a strapless wedding dress on my wedding day.
Well I will be married in a temple so mine will have sleeves
I was married in the Temple, my dress was very modest and had sleeves.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE my dress

Strapless wedding gowns in church are simply vulgar, vulgar, vulgar. A strapless gown is essentially evening wear, most inappropriate for church. It is also symptomatic of an inability to rationalise and reckon independently. People are like sheep. All must unthinkingly follow ‘fashion’ rather than style. The strapless gown has become a wedding uniform. Here in Ireland it is even more ridiculous since the number of days in the year when one can bare one’s shoulders can be counted on the fingers of one hand, if at all. We are a people in deep denial about the nature of our climate. The strapless gown is usually worn over a revolting orange fake tan.
I notice royalty nearly always opt for sleeves. See the weddings of the Danish, Belgian and Spanish royal couples.
