In this day and age, there’s no such thing as not being able to find something. There’s nothing you can’t find in that veritable and seemingly infinite minefield of information known as the Internet. Furthermore, you don’t have to jump through hoops or pay a big price just to get information because it’s a very easy resource to use, and one that never seems to fail. So if you’re looking unique wedding gift ideas, you know exactly where to go.

A Hop, Search, and A Skip

The first place you should go to when looking for unique wedding gift ideas on the Internet, or the Net, as it is most commonly known as, is the search engine. Google, Yahoo!, Excite, and MSN are only some of the most famous and most frequently used search engines on the Net today.

To utilize a search engine, it’s just a matter of typing in a keyword or phrase of what you’re looking for and clicking the search button. You simply have to indicate that you’re searching for unique wedding gift ideas, and in a matter of minutes, you’ll find hundreds upon hundreds of websites that you can use as reference.

Often, search results organize the websites by page rank, meaning the most frequently visited websites are at the top of list and so forth. While you’re likely to get ideas from the websites at the top, going through the other not so frequently visited websites will probably give you more unique wedding gift ideas.

Interact to Better Act

Search engines often yield results that will lead you to merchant websites offering unique wedding gift ideas. In more specialized searches, however, you’ll be led to weblogs, or blogs and forums where you can find more personal unique wedding gift ideas.

Blogs are generally created and written by ordinary people, so you know that most of them don’t have any profit agenda in mind, but rather a genuine desire to share their unique wedding gift ideas. Some may even go as far as to share do-it-yourself tips and advice on making ordinary gifts more special.

Like blogs, forums are also frequented by ordinary consumers. A forum is a good way to interact with other people and share unique wedding gift ideas. Forums are often conversational and casual. It can be likened to a discussion among friends, only online. In forums, you can give opinions and advice, and even cultivate real friendships.

There Are No Limits

Indeed, the sky’s the limit when looking for unique wedding gift ideas on the Net. Whether you spend hours on it or spend a few minutes searching for unique wedding gift ideas, you won’t leave empty handed.

So when you walk into a wedding reception with a beautiful gift that you know the newlyweds can definitely appreciate, you’ll know the time you spent on the Net is time well spent. And you’ll never have to rack your brains for unique wedding gift ideas ever again. You just have to type and go.

Ten Wedding Planning Tips To Ask Your Future Wedding Planner

1. How many weddings has she planned?

2. Can she work within my budget?

3. What is her fee? Is it a flat fee, a percentage of the wedding, an hourly rate, etc.?

4. What is included in her fee — all phone calls, meetings, e-mails, etc.?

5. Does she get a kickback from vendors?

6. Does she understand my vision?

7. Will she make a checklist of all the items I need to accomplish?

8. Will she create a timeline for the wedding day?

9. Does she have an assistant who will work with her at my wedding?

10. Can she recommend vendors who fit my budget and style?

11. What will she take care of — finding vendors? Invitations? Favors?

What Should Be In Your Wedding Planner Contract

If you are only going to see a consultant for planning lessons then you will probably just get a bill. It is impossible to have all details on a coordinator’s contract, for the simple fact that they are dealing will all aspects of your wedding day and have many duties.

The contract should at least have the following:

How the coordinator charges (percentage, flat fee, hourly).

How many meetings will there be and if the consultant will visit vendors with you.

A service description.

The total cost of their services.

Your contact information.

Your wedding date.

Your’s and their signature.

The amount deposited and still owing, and the due date for last payment.

Cancellation policy (if you cancel).

No show policy for the consultant.

Wedding Tips for Groom:

So the big day has arrived!! Your carefree days of being the eligible bachelor are no more. It’s now times for you to start behaving as gentlemanly as possible, assume responsibilities and shed the face of your bachelorhood!

For Wear:

For the main day wedding function you can opt for sherwanis, Jodhpuri suits and Kurta Pajamas

Jodhpuri is very popular with the younger men. It gives the groom a regal look, and he can wear appropriate jewelery to ‘match’ that of his bride. The length of the kurta must be 2 inches below the sleeve.

This should be worn with a narrow trouser to match the kurta, made with the same fabric. The groom has a choice of either selecting suiting material or silk, which can be plain, jacquard or jamewari, depending upon his taste, skin color and of course, his budget.

Sherwani is typical of North Indian and Punjabi weddings. Sherwani is long coat, buttoned up in front with Nehru collars. The sherwani falls well below the knees, and looks elegant especially if the groom is tall, and yes, the physique is perfect. Traditionally, the sherwanis worn are off-white.

A churidar is a long fitting pyjama worn by the North Indian groom. Churidars are usually fine muslins or cottons, white in color. The traditional churidar is tied with a nara at the waist.

The Kurta or the top is a knee length colarless shirt which is adorned in mostly white or pastel colors. But today you will find Kurtas made out of the most wonderful and colorful of fabrics. Pyjama-are like loose trousers with a string tie at the waist. Traditionally white in color.

For Hair:

Before your wedding it is necessary to take proper care of your hair if you have not taken care for months. It is important to have a proper look on your wedding day. Here are some tips to help you get that perfect look of your hair for your wedding.

It is important your hair should be clean and for that dandruff should be treated with a weekly wash by a good medicated anti dandruff shampoo.

If you have problem of hair fall than it can be treated by proper medication. Excessive hair fall is caused mainly due to severe dieting, nutritional deficiency or some other systemic cause so it is important you take proper care of your diet. Your diet should include lots of fruits and vegetables and at least drinking of 10 to 12 glass of water daily is very important.

You should use a conditioner to give your hair that shining effect

For Skin:

Skin care is an important aspect of men’s grooming. It’s important to take care of your skin, as you age because of so much of pollution, dirt, and hectic lifestyle people are not getting time to take care of their health.

Scrub with a moisturizing effect won’t tear the skin and also gives immediate results. If your skin is dry don’t use scrub regularly it makes your skin more dry.

Other than this you can go for a facial once in a month after the age of 25 to maintain your skin and to have a glowing effect. You can also try a home facial, which includes giving yourself a light facial massage with a soothing moisturizing cream and ice cubes, followed by steaming your face.

To have good skin it is important to drink 10 to 12 glasses of water daily to flush toxins out of the system and keep your skin hydrated

Accessories:

Among the other traditional accessories are knives and swords it symbolizes prestige and royalty. These ornamented wedding knives and swords are usually handcrafted.

Kamar Patta or waistbands are elaborate handwork so as to provide a majestic appeal to the groom’s attire. It is tied around the waist of the groom when carrying the coconut during the wedding ceremony.

Sehra is another most accessory worn at the time of marriage it enhances the overall personality of the groom. Mojris are usually traditional Indian footwear it is worn with traditional Indian dressing like sherwanis and Jodhpuri suit.

They come in different colors and designs, and are normally hand crafted. If the groom goes for western suit than to match the look he wears diamond or other semi-precious stone cuff links, to add a touch of style and elegance

The perfect clutch of flowers will have the power to do two things – complement any color and style of wedding dress and help set a joyous mood at every turn. There are thousands of color combinations and a rainbow of hues to select when your planning your nuptials. Arranging gorgeous blossoms into the perfect wedding appropriate bouquet can be done in many different style and sizes. Depending on your dress, the formality of your wedding and your color palette, the size of your bouquet can have an affect on the unique look of your ceremony. Being savvy about your flower bouquet can create an eye-catching and memorable experience for your guests. No matter what type of blossoms are in your bouquets, you can be assured your wedding flowers will enhanced the beauty of your special day. Read on to learn more about the different types of wedding flower bouquets:

Hand-Tied Bouquets
These bouquets have a nature inspired look and are perfect for summer weddings that take place outside, such as in a garden or on the beach. These flower blooms are simply tied together, usually with a fancy ribbon or bow. These wedding flower bouquets are suitable for almost any setting, whether formal or informal. Adding textured flowers such as roses, peonies and chrysanthemum can add an extra elegance to your bouquet. If you are looking for a more personalized hand-tied bouquet, instead of using a ribbon, use meaningful objects such as your mother’s old wedding dress, etc. These bouquets are eye-pleasing and classical.

Cascade Bouquets
Cascade wedding bouquets are designed to resemble a “waterfall” of blossoms. Although these bouquets are beautiful to look at, they are usually only complementing to taller brides and dresses with a simpler design. Since the bouquet itself is larger, it is important to balance out the proportions of size and color with your dress. These bouquets are usually filled with flowers such as calla lilies, orchids, stephanotis and long, flowing greenery. The soft accents of green are an excellent backdrop for any other vibrant colors in your bouquet. A cascade bouquet can be striking on it’s own!

Posy
These smaller flower bouquets are popular among flower girls and bridesmaids. Tiny flowers such as spray roses, baby’s breath and lily-of-the-valley can create cute bouquets for your wedding. Another creative option for the posy flower bouquet is to use a couple larger flowers as focal points to complement your color scheme. These flowers arranged together can make quite a statement at your ceremony! This style of bouquet is perfect for children and has the ability to accompany every dress type. Some more examples of flowers that would work are hyacinths, hydrangeas and multicolored roses.

Over arm
This modern look is elegant and simple, yet extremely beautiful design for any wedding. Over arm bouquets are most commonly seen with long-stemmed flowers such as orchids, calla lilies and roses. These flower buds are your best guarantee because of their sturdy and durable stems. Wrapping these flowers together with a ribbon is also a stylish option. Figure fitting dresses are perfectly complemented with an over arm wedding bouquet. Keep in mind, holding the flowers for long periods of time during photos may make them become heavy – select lighter flowers if this is the case.

Round Flower Bouquet
Round wedding flower bouquets are the most commonly seen as bridal flowers. Although similar to the posy style bouquet, round bouquets are larger in size and usually contain a collection of various flowers. Using color to your advantage for these bouquets is important – use complementing or contrasting colors to create the biggest visual impact. Any wedding, whether formal or casual, can accompany a round wedding flower bouquet. If fragrance is an important part of your floral design, consider adding sweet smelling roses, lilacs or peonies to your bouquet. Capitalizing on flower texture, color and size, you can be assured to have the most striking bridal flower bouquet your guests have seen!

A lovely, creative and personal flower bouquet is just as much a part of your wedding day as finding the perfect dress. Selecting blooms based on the style of your dress, the color of your wedding palette and the availability of your flower choices can assure you that your choosing the right flowers – and help you save money at the same time. Your bridal flower bouquet is the glorious finishing touch to radiating the true beauty of your entire wedding. Call on flowers to set the mood and scene for the wedding you have dreamed of since childhood. Knowing the various designs of bouquets can help you select the perfect arrangement of complementing flowers for your wedding day.

One of the most elegant flower choices for a picture perfect wedding is the calla lily flower. This flower is simple in form yet garners attention whenever and wherever it is used. It is a natural choice for the most discerning bride-to-be and typically is arranged simply as a uniform bunch or as the focal flower in a mixed bouquet. Even the most simplistic use, a single stem held by the bride, can make a profound impact on such a beautiful and special day.

Here are 3 key distinguishing features that will help in selecting the perfect calla lily flower for the wedding:

1. Size

There are essentially two different sizes of calla lilies in the floral market — standard and mini. Each will have varying stem lengths however each size is noticeably different. The standard size calla is actually fairly large – as tall as 36 inches, and contains a larger blossom (up to 6 inches in length or opening) along with a thicker stem (up to 2 inches in diameter). The mini callas much smaller in size in every dimension. Their stems are typically pencil sized thickness, their length is generally from 12 inches up to 24 inches, and their blossom is in proportion to the stem size (up to 3″ when opened).

2. Color

There are numerous options for choosing the color of the calla blossom. For standard sized callas, the color options are much more limited than the mini size varieties. White or green are the 2 most popular colors for the standard size, with white being the overwhelming favorite color chosen by brides. With minis, there are a lot more options on colors. The most popular choices include white, pink, purple, mango, peach and yellow. There are also multi-colored varieties too.

3. Bloom Style

For bloom styles, there are two types of flower blossoms — fully open or closed. Standard callas (the largest callas) are most readily available in what is considered the closed cut. The reverse is typically true for minis, their blossoms are fully open. It is important to note that closed cut blooms will not fully open. This doesn’t detract from their beauty, however if opened blossoms are desired then take extra care to specifically request fully open callas when placing the order. Please be aware that fully opened blooms are generally in tight supply and not always readily available.

Although not a specific feature of the flower itself, another component to selecting the perfect calla is the associated cost. There are significant price differences between the two sizes. The standard size calla will be more expensive than the mini sizes. Standard callas are sold by the stem, while the minis are sold in bunches. Additionally, for standard callas, a fully opened bloom will cost more (usually more than double) than a closed cut bloom.

When it comes to brides selecting the larger standard size calla for their flowers, most are envisioning the fully opened cut version. There is not another flower type that comes close to the creating the same impact as a fully opened standard white calla lily does. When grouped together, fully open blooms are the perfect choice. They are absolutely beautiful, elegant, and stately. They also look great with closed blooms, intermixed. If standard sized callas are just too cost prohibitive, then switching to the mini version is also a beautiful option.

I was thinking about going with Costco flowers, but I was worried it could wind up a disaster. Has anyone used this for their wedding?

Well, we’d love to help get this answered for you, whomever you are!

When it comes to utilizing such a large flower distributor you are of course bound to run into issues, but this can occur with any florist, no matter how big or how small. You need to prepare yourself for all of the unexpected. By going with a larger company though your flower pricing and choices could be more budget friendly.

One of the best things you can do is order your flowers way ahead of time. By ordering in advance you are allowing you and your florist enough time to get things together perfectly and if something was to come up you have the time to fix it before your actual wedding day. Preparation will still be done just before your wedding day, but the actual planning for the wedding flowers needs to be done in advance. Costco flowers will work just like any other florist, still putting them together for you, helping with the planning, they are just a larger franchise then most.

Costco flowers is just as good of a florist as any other florist out there. They may be less personalized and more franchise like, but this is to be expected when you work with a large florist franchise. Do not feel you are going to get poor quality and bad service just because they are larger. It can be a good option for weddings, and Costco flowers are still flowers like any other flowers you’d receive in expensive floral shops.

If you have any wedding questions yourself, feel free to contact Rachael West Designs. We’ll gladly take the time to answer your questions for you.

(I mean hey we’re already married!) We never had a “real” wedding…just us and my sis at the court house, no flowers, reception or anything, so for our five year anniversary we are having the kind of wedding I wanted. We’re not having any altar arrangements or anything like that, just my bouquet (medium size, hydrangea and roses) the 2 bms flowers (small calla lily arrangements) and 3 bouts, 1 for Groom, Best Man, and Groomsman. Should 0 be enough for this? Best answer will be chosen!
