How much do you spend on wedding shower gifts? On a gift for the actual wedding day?

I аm helping throw mу friend’s wedding shower. I аlѕο рlοt οn giving hеr a gift аt thе shower аnd a gift οn hеr wedding day (I dο thіѕ wіth everyone). I’m wondering, hοw much іѕ customary tο spend? I know people ѕау “whаt уου саn afford,” bυt I’m looking fοr a more exact figure. I аm putting іn money fοr hеr shower (food, gifts, games, etc.). I guess I’m nervous аbουt thіѕ bесаυѕе ѕhе hаѕ bееn a total “bridezilla.” Whаt dο уου usually dο? Thanks!

she should be paying for the wedding shower and then you can buy the wedding present

I would say about $50 for the Bridal Shower since you are helping out financially in the plotting of it-
And depending on the wedding itself I would say usually about $75-100 (unless you can afford more)

Please note that I am in the Northeast US where salaries tend to be a small higher so I reckon people tend to spend more on gifts. I normally spend around $50 on a shower gift and $100 if its just me at the wedding ($200 when it was me + boyfriend).
If you are helping to throw the shower, I reckon you shouldn’t go too crazy on the value of the shower gift. Find something on the registry for $20-$30 max.

For someone I am this close with I spend more. For the bridal shower I will spend $50-100 on a gift

For the wedding my soon-to-be-husband and I give $200
