The sky’s the limit. That is not a question a weirder can answer. God, it depends on a million things!
Plot on spending around 26,000.
I have $2000 dollar to spend on my wedding and ill have about 70 – 110 poeple, i live in texas if that really patters.
but my wedidng will be held at my parents place for free and we are making all the food on our own and i am doing all my flowers and table peices on my own.
I’m inviting around 360…So, I’m expecting approx. 300 Are you expecting 160? If you are inviting 160, maybe expect approx.100-125 to show. My parent’s are paying $15,000, his parent’s $5,000 and ourselves approx. 3,000! Since we are having a huge wedding is sure is more $$$$! I’m trying to cut corners as far as expenses go.
I have heard that the average american wedding costs $18,000.00. Do you need to spend that much? No way. I have seen weddings that are absolutly gorgeous for a fraction of that. Utilize your talents as well as friends and family members. For example…a bridal store will charge up to $200.00 or more for a veil, but just the other day, I went to Leisure activity Lobby and learned that tulle, in a wide array of colors and designs is only $1.99 a yard! wow! And a veil would be fun and simple to make. This is just an example. But keep in mind, if it has anything to do with a wedding, there will be a huge price mark up! They really do take advantage of the fact that everyone wants a perfect wedding. But….if you have that kind of money and want to go “top notch” by all means, go for it! It’s your day and your one and only wedding!
Dress, cake, hall, maybe a band, food and caterers plus staff, the reception hall and cermony that icludes a priest and church time and a photograper.
Tables may want to include bouquets, flowers.
Forgot about the honey moon.
How much will that all total up to?
You won’t worry at the wedding about the cost but will be thinking about it after.
Based on our Wisconsin wedding… $15,000 – $20,000 with everything; church, reception, food, flowers, DJ, dress, invites, favors..etc.
well i live in england and mine is going to cost roughly £14k
its a excellent thought to go online and get price estimates for things and do a table on excel like we did.
I’ve read that the average wedding costs between $20,000 and $30,000 according to surveys taken by “Brides” magazine. But, the women who responded to the survey were women who also subscribed to “Brides” and the survey sponsor really had a vested interest in increasing the “expectation” so that women would feel pressured to spend more to have a “GOOD” wedding.
Frankly, any wedding that results in a pleased marriage was a excellent wedding. Focus on the life you are making, not the start you are giving it.
THAT SAID – I would say don’t spend more on the wedding than you can pay for. Do not go into debt to start your life. You will be no less married, and why start with a burden?
It is your wedding. Spend on things that will make you pleased, and ignore or spend less on things that will not affect you.
Choose where you want to place the effort – into the dinner, the dancing, the decorations….and make your budget accordingly. There is no one RIGHT way to marry.
Call a church, but remember that you can have a minister at your service even if it isn’t held at a church. Do you have a relative with a nice back yard? A park or public place that can be reserved nearby? My niece just got married at a golf course at sunset. It was really gorgeous, and they had rented the clubhouse for the reception.
Small towns sometimes have community centers that are reasonable and nice for receptions.
Just reckon creatively. Excellent luck on your new life.
2000 to 4000 bucks
wow..i reckon when it was my kids it was 3000. to 4000. we rented the reception for 1700. that included 150 guest, the meal and place for the dance…..church usually gave 50 to 100…50 to 100 for minister…..50 to singer…pianist…the wedding dress was around 750. veil 220….bridemaids dresses…when i made them about 20. each when we bought 200.00 each…band 750 to 1000. cake 150 to 300.flowers were about 750 to 900. hope this helps…if you can make things..i’ve seen where they gave patterns and material…each person made their dress
First you need to figure out how much you HAVE financially. THEN you can work on the rest of it.
Set aside $ per paycheck, use your income tax refund, but do not take out a loan or use credit cards.
I am having my wedding in Miami and it is costing 45,000 because its on New Years Eve and they charge premium prices for everything that night.
