Pregnant woman and getting a hair cut?

Sο, I wanted tο know whаt thе deal wаѕ way before I wаѕ pregnant. It seems lіkе 50% οf women whο gеt pregnant еnd up cutting thеіr long hair οff fοr small hair. I swore I wουld never follow thе trend, I thουght іt wаѕ odd.

Now, mу hair іѕ growing ten times qυісkеr thаn normal аnd аll I саn rесkοn аbουt whеn I look іn thе mirror іѕ hοw іt’s јυѕt long, hot аnd uncontrollably fοr summer. I’m јυѕt frightened I’ll regret іt іf I сυt even a bit οff (mу hair іѕ аbουt mid-back).

I’m іn a wedding аt thе еnd οf thіѕ month. Shουld I wait until аftеr thе wedding tο mаkе mу сhοісе οr gеt іt before thе wedding?

Another one of those random things you can chalk up to hormones. The hotter it gets, the more I want to chop all my hair off. And yes, it grows so quick! I already need another haircut after two months, and usually I can go up to 6 months.

I went for a compromise and got a shoulder length cut that I can still place up in a ponytail. My hubby would absolutely have kittens if I came home with a drastically small haircut.

As far as the wedding goes, that’s up to you. I’m sure you’ll look fantastic either way!

The excellent thing about hair cuts is that hair always grows back. I cut my hair, but not super small. I place it up in a pony tail all the time anyway so it doesn’t matter for me. Do whatever is comfortable for you.

I reckon most women feel that shorter hair is less maintenance and with a small one, there’s really not much time for beauty. You’ll be lucky to get time for a shower some days! But, I kept my hair longer (just past shoulder) because for me it’s quicker to pull it in a pony tail than having to blow dry/flat iron my hair when it’s small. Plus, longer hair can be pulled back and out of your face while small hair can get in the way. Just my opinion though.

As for cutting your hair, I reckon you should wait until after the wedding. That will allow you more options for styling it that day.

i went thru the same dilema you are going thru. When i was pregnant my hair grew like crazy… so i cut my hair off small. and i dont regret it bc its simpler to manage and it doesnt drive me nuts. i cut my hair 4/20/2009 and i went into labor 4/22 lol who knew it…. and my son met me wit small hair. if you want to cut ur hair go ahead do wat makes you comfortable.

i had my hair touching my butt and it took me months before i chose to cut it off. it got really hot out so i cut it off it is touching my shoulders in the front and gets shorter in the back. it is a comfortable hair style. excellent luck with yours.

If you want your hair long for your wedding then place it up in a clip or ponytail. Its really what you prefer and it is the hormones talking right now.

if I were you I’d keep all the hair you can until after the wedding. it will give the stylist more to work with. then later if you can cut off 10 inches or more, you can donate it to locks of like, look up their website.

I certainly know where you are coming from with this. I got this urge REALLY terrible towards the end with Thomas and it keeps going in waves with this pregnancy. Rather then cutting my long hair I dyed it a different color to give it a perk and me as well. I certainly chalk it up to those lovely pregnancy hormones!

I’d wait till after the wedding to cut your hair. Having longer hair makes better styles for wedding, etc. . .
