My first husband is a Mexican and all of our wedding party were either from Mexico or were Mexican/American. Typically the wedding party pays for just about everything except for the rings, dress and cake. This is their gift to you. There will probably be a huge reception with either a mariachi band or some other band that plays mostly songs with spanish words in them. There will probably be a lot of alcohol and the reception will last way into the morning hours. Usually the wedding party has a special entrance dance into the reception. I was aware of this, but had not plotted it as we held our reception at a club. But, they surprised us by having us do this dance and thankfully I am a excellent enough dancer I was able to follow along and look like I knew what I was doing.
