Depends on the day and if it’s in the middle of the week or on a Saturday.

You can have as wacky of a wedding as you want. Wear what you want, (but not nude) and there’s TONS of chapels on the Strip and downtown.

Here’s my advice, (as I live here and got married here and my daughter got married here last year)
When you get into town, after checking into your hotel, go downtown to the courthouse and get your marriage license. You will need this to get married. While there have a nice shrimp cocktail at the Golden Gate Hotel and delight in the Fremont St. Experience. Have a few cocktails and plot your wedding.

Before you arrive check out these websites: http://www.aspecialmemory.com (I got married there in a drive thru service with a huge long limo and all our friends as witnesses) And look at http://www.alwaysandforeverweddings.com This is where my daughter got married at Lakeside Gardens. These websites will give you a few thoughts. Also check out http://www.vegas.com Click on weddings and just browse.

By the time you get here, you should have a chapel picked out. If not, don’t worry. You usually don’t need a reservation. I didn’t have one and didn’t have any wait at all at the drive thru and my did daughter did but hers was a 7-7-7 wedding.

You shouldn’t have any problems and should have a lot of fun.

    Mazel tov!

You are allowed to wear whatever you want to get married in Las Vegas. As far as chapels are concerned, every major hotel on the strip has one and there are also tons of independent chapels on and off the strip.

Reserve a chapel as early as possible and remember to get your marriage license from the marriage bureau.

You can wear what you want to a wedding. You will need to go Downtown and buy a license though, regardless where you get married. Want a really fun one, wear the fun clothing and have a drive-thru wedding

We got married in September last year in teh small chapel of the westa nd it was grat. When we went downtown to get the marriage licence there were tons of guys with flyers and we coudl have gon directly from the licence office to the wedding chapel if we had wanted to. You are far better off going mid week than at the weekend if you can make it.

I looked into Vegas weddings a couple of years ago when I was considering the same thing. Do some research on the internet because they have more cool thoughts than we could ever list here. They have drive thru weddings, hot air balloon weddings, theme weddings of all shapes and sizes (Elvis, aliens, Egyptian Pharaohs, etc). I really wanted to get married in a hot air balloon – how cool would that be! Seriously, the variety will knock your socks off. Nothing traditional about most of it. And its so much cheaper than any where else. The drive thru is the cheapest (huge shock, I know) but for less than $500 you can have a really fun time of it.

My husband and I got married at the small white chapel in vegas, didn’t wear anything odd but we could have if we wanted to. It was cheap, $250 or so and that included the limo picking us up at the hotel, taking us downtown to get our license, license fee was extra, taking us to the chapel, taking pictures and returning us to the hotel. The whole thing took about 3 hrs.
