First off, this is your wedding and ultimately what you want and what you like should be considered. Question the parents. Maybe there is something from their weddings that could be used. Then you start a new tradition!
For the reception keep it simple. I like the look of candles on mirrors. It reflects the light and makes a special atmosphere. Look around and you may find different shaped mirrors. The Oriental Trading Company had heart shaped mirrors.
If you have small guests you might want to have crayons and some coloring pages available. My sister did this and it saved a few tears.
But just remember no matter what you do nothing will be as gorgeous as the look on the bride when she looks at her future husband!
1. it should be the newly weds (husband and wife)
2.
3. flowers
1. Husband and wife dance first
2. Its your wedding have whatever you want there are no rules – if you want to eat fish and chips do it..
3. Flowers and Baloons are fab
4. Its yours and your husband to be’s day delight in it..u cannot satify everyone so dont try to.
You may want to attend a few bridal fares for thoughts
Have a fab day!
Ok, first off, you get to do whatever you want for your wedding, convention aside, you have to be happy, not anyone else.
1- Traditionally its the husband and wife dance first.
2- Wedding dress and accessories (jewellery, clutch purse for lipgloss etc, shoes, undergarments, veil, maybe even gloves or stockings), Groom’s suit (underware, shoes, socks, tie, vest), dresses and suits for any attendants (bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl, ring bearer), make-up and hair for all women, flowers (bouquet for bride, nosegays for female attendants, boutonnieres for male attendants, and flowers for decoration of ceremony and reception), ceremony venue and celebrant or appropriot offical of your church, reception venue, caterer, tables/chairs/cutlery/dinnerware, music, guest list, cake, photographer and videographer, honeymoon, transportation. I think that’s at least 90% of it… lol
3- Well, what is the theme of your wedding? Beach theme, try glass bowls of sand with a candel in them and some sea shells. Formal elegant wedding, try candleabra(sp). Barring that, flowers to match your bouquet, candles, ice sculptures, whatever strikes your fancy!
4- Start getting an idea of what kind of dress, wedding, reception you really want. Go to theknot.com (really very helpful, very cool :>)for a starting point and then try brides magazines for dress and reception thoughts, google a lot, don’t be worried to take a non-wedding thought or item and use it for your wedding. Talk to your man and see what he wants, where you agree, where you don’t and try and find a middle ground where your both pleased. Look through your phone directory and look for bridal shops, wedding vendors, all that sort of thing.
Lastly, delight in the plotting, give yourself time to plot and make sure everything you do makes you and your man pleased, because its your wedding not anyone elses and you have to make gorgeous memories for yourselves.
Congrats!
essentials for a wedding….a photographer that is fantastic. This is the only thing you will have to remember the day. Check out www.noeyehasseen.com She is a fantastic photographer with a reputation of being wonderful to work with, and she travels all over the world to do weddings.
Table ornaments….go to theknot.com and look at their reception thoughts. Only YOU will know what you will like best
You are doing fantastic by plotting this far in advance! It will certainly lower your stress!
1. Father/daughter dance comes first.
2. Two people who really want to BE married, not GET married, a few friends and family who wish you well, and an officiant to seal the deal.
3. I like low centerpieces, like candles or small bouquets. They don’t block anyone’s view, and they take up less table space.
4. The following is all feedback that I’ve gotten from various friends/family members after their weddings:
a. Spend your time/money/energy on the four things everyone remembers from a wedding/reception: your dress, your venue, the food, and the cake. Most brides get caught up in all of the small details, so much so that they turn into Bridezilla or break down from all the stress. But, most people that attend a wedding/reception don’t even remember or didn’t even notice all of these small things.
b. Pick a bridesmaid dress that they can wear again. Believe me, they will thank you for it. I have three $300+ dresses that I will never wear again.
c. Only select bridesmaids that you know will be there for you when you need them, and won’t cause you unnecessary stress.
