Gerber Daisy’s are gorgeous and come in a variety of different colors . I don’t care much for roses either I do prefer the daisy , they last longer also .
You shouldn’t question for help on this, it should be your own choice. Use colors and flowers that make you pleased. But if you realllllly need help, I’d go with light colors for the summer. Lavender, light pink, baby blue, light yellow, etc. If you don’t know much about flowers you should pick your colors first and then take them to the florist and have them help you.

yea I am the same, I do not want a normal rose bouquet or calla Lily’s
just choose a colour that you like or suits you and the season preferably
Im getting married in may and my favorite colour is turquoise blue
so I have chosen a bright fresh turquoise blue, white and with silver accents

I have chosen to have a bouquet of pale pink “closed up” peonies
they are larger than roses and look so delicate I like them, they are well loved in wedding bouquets but usually mixed with other flowers, I like them on their own

Peonies are a gorgeous alternative to roses. They still have that same kind of romantic look but are different. If you saw bride wars they were all in that movie. Hydrangeas are gorgeous and a wonderful filler but be careful with them because they have a tendancy to wilt and turn brown easily. Lillies are probably one of my all time favorites i like the white oriental ones. Hope this helps!! Also sorry I forgot to place, Orchids are gorgeous as well!!
well, there are tons of color schemes to choose from for the summer…
some BRIGHT colors are pretty and you can’t really do these any other time of the year:
yellow & pink
pink & green
green & yellow
orange & pink
or go crazy and have pink, yellow, green and orange
or, you can go softer, cool colors that make you reckon of the ocean:
tan & blue
blue & teal
sage green & tan
Flowers can be anything from gerber Daisy’s (that come in tons of bright colors) to white or yellow Daisy’s, or even sunflowers.

I reckon you could do any color you liked.
Flowers, if you don’t like roses there are tons of other options for flowers, mums, orchids, calla lilies

There are so many different colors you could go with. Summer really does have endless possibilities.
If you haven’t done so yet go to www.theknot.com and go through their web page. That’s probably the best wedding website I have been to. So many suggestions for dresses, flowers, cakes, etc. You name it they have it.
Me and my fiance are on the “plain” side so we are looking at very light greens, blues, silvers (for a beach wedding)!
We will also be having hydrangeas for flowers – they are gorgeous, come in a few different colors and do well in the heat: (here’s a picof what I want)
