You mentioned wanting to save money on your flowers. Have you considered using silk/artificial flowers? It is much more affordable and you can keep your bouquet. That is what we are doing for ALL of our flowers.
Excellent Luck!
question your friends who are gardeners……….they are usually pleased to share……..things are blooming like crazy right now. find out what your regions flowers are and use them…….if you’re in the south, find some gardenia bushes……they have gorgeous leaves and blooms……place them in glass bowls…….if you’re from the northeast like I am then go for the evergreen hedges and place them in dishes with a few carnations or daisys clipped small spaced out thru the bowl…..reckon outside the box and start looking around in yards.. most people who will be at your wedding would be pleased to help in some way, so delegate, maybe they have a friend or relative who has flowerbeds……. most of all, relax and delight in this gorgeous time! excellent luck to you and may God bless your marriage!
“filler flowers” are flowers that “fill” a bqt. some are nice some are cheap looking. I myself…HATE babies breath. Are you talking about using them in your bqt. or on the tables?
If your doing this to add to your bqt., DON’T!!! Do simple, classic. Dz. white roses, hand tied w/ small greenery.
If you need something for your tables to be inexpensive… do a nice 6″ flowering plant in a basket w/o handle w/ moss.
(plants like…indoor azaleas, begonias, mini rose etc.)
excellent luck
I always say that hydrangeas are the best flower, hands down! They come in huge bunches, gorgeous colors, and have very sturdy stems.
