I’m getting married (hopefull) οn June 18, 2011!! аnd i’m very confused οn ѕοmе things. here аrе mу qυеѕtіοnѕ.
-Whаt dο thе mothers wear? Dο thеу hаνе tο wear thе same color? (mу bridesmaides аrе wearing a buttercup yellow)
-Wіll churches allow уου tο bе wed іn a church уου аrе nοt a member οf? (ουr church іѕ currently іn thе school, аnd wе unfortunetly dο nοt hаνе a pastor now, wе hаνе guest speakers each week)
-Whаt ѕhουld i dο аbουt having a dance floor аt thе reception? All guests аrе mainly family (older family) аnd although I know maybe 10-15 ppl wіll dance, iknow thе majority wont. ѕhουld i јυѕt skip іt even though i’ve always wanted dancing аt mу reception?

Sorry I Dont Know What Mothers Wear LOL
Dont Know Unless You Question!
But
Yeah I Reckon Churches Still Let You Evan If Your Not A Member Question
And It Dsnt Matter What Others Want Its What YOU Want You Want A Dance Floor Go Ahead:) Dsnt Matter If No One Else Willl Dance! Remember Its Your Day!
Excellent Luck I Hope It Goes Ok
No. The mothers can wear individual outfits. But they should harmonize with your color scheme.
Yes, I reckon that as long as your last church was e.g., Evangelical, then you can be married in another Evangelical church.
Of course not! Even those who do not dance will delight in watching the bride happily dancing with the groom.
Sorry, I can’t answer this one!
Or this one!
I hope this helps! Excellent luck and best wishes for you and your fiancee!
No days mother wear what they want to, hopefully something respective and something that doesn’t clash. Yellow may not be a color they wear well, if they don’t the pictures will reflect that.
Yes most churches do allow you to wed sometimes for a fee if you are not a member. You could use your church and hire a someone to perform the ceremony in your church if you wish.
Dancing if you want it be sure you get it even if it’s just a few main dances. You can’t go back and change it once it’s over. That is a simple desire that can be fulfilled. You can easily arrange table to leave enough space as your dance floor.
As far as websites, search wedding accessories and hundred will pop up. I had someone suggest wedding by dawn to me. I was told they were simple to work with, ship quickly and have quality work.
Congratulations and have FUN with it.
the mothers wear colors that accent the bridesmaids but they 2 moms don’t match each other. search for mother of the bride and groom dresses, they make special designs for them
some churches will let you rent them yes for weddings, and I don’t reckon there’s any obligation to be a member.
if you’ve always pictured dancing, then hire a DJ and question them about how to make a dance floor if there isn’t one at your reception hall. if you’re getting married outside, you can rent a dance floor, it’s squares that lock together on the ground.
skip the favors, no one takes them home, they’re forgotten and you’ll be left with them afterward probably
Ok…
The mothers wear dresses that compliment both the bridal party and eachother. The mother of the bride chooses her gown first and then the mother of groom chooses a gown that compliments the MOB. For example, if MOB chooses a long gown, the MOG must choose and long gown. As far as the colors, i’ll give you an example.. my colors are Baltimore Raven Purple (very bright, brilliant purple) my mother’s gown is long and like wine color.. very deep deep red and my fiance’s mother’s gown is long and navy.. all the colors work together and it looks very nice.
As far as the church.. I would stongly recommend joining a church.. find a church that you like and go with it.. join up talk to the pastors and other members (you might find some long time friendships there). I know a lot of churches won’t marry you if you don’t take the pre-marriage classes first and I beleive you have to be a member to take em. But seriously, would it kill you to join.. not at all. My fiance and I checked out 3 different churches before we chose to join one.
As for dancing at the reception.. or course you should have dancing. But, i can’t reckon of a reception hall that doesn’t already have a dance floor.
For favors, we didn’t want to waste the money on favors that most or all people are just going to throw away anyway so we’re donating whatever money we had set aside to a charity in honor of our guests.
Invitataions? Save your money and get the kits from like joanne fabrics, michaels, A.C. Moore, staples has em and office Depot.. they come with nearly everything you need you just print them yourselves.
I would consider joing ourweddingday.com or theknot.com.. they are a huge help and it helps you get organized and what not
Excellent Luck and congratulations.
OMG we’re getting married on the dame date!!
(Sorry I had to share!! I’ll try to answer some of the questions now!!)
-Mothers don’t have to match completely. If your colors are yellow then they can wear any hue of yellow.
-Yes, churches will allow you to wed even if you are not a member, you’ll have to still do marriage counseling and stuff though.
-If you want dancing have dancing. Weddings without dancing are dull! Even if it is just you and your groom out there dancing at least you’ll have a excellent time.
-For mine I was thinking Paper fans (because it will be hot, you can buy them from theknot.com) personalized water bottles(that say you and your fiance’s name and the date of the wedding), and candy.
-check out theknot.com they have SO MANY resources.
Congrats on the wedding!! Fantastic date choice.
Here is a excellent site for inexpensive favors:

First off congratulations!
I’ll go ahead and tackle the reception favors, as I am in the middle of plotting my own wedding, so I’ve been all over the place looking at my options for wedding guest favors.
With your wedding in the summer, I like the colors you’ve chosen! There are some really fantastic summer themed favors at, http://www.planningpad.com/spgafa1.html. I’m a huge favor of the friendly favors and my favorite thus far, are the seed and flower favors such as this one, http://www.planningpad.com/eb2114.html . They make a really fantastic unique favor for your guests and I reckon they will really take them home and use them, rather than throw a nonsense favor in the back of some drawer.
Hope this helps and best of luck with the plotting!
